What Treatment Is Suggested For Sweating While Eating Due Ti Down Syndrome?

Hi my son is 4 months old he was diagnosed with down syndrome at birth and also has a very large ASD which will need OHS. Recently he has been sweating a lot while eating( drinking milk) should i worry/ get him checked? it has been hot and i put it down to the weather.

Dear patient,

Thanks for the query; I believe it is prudent to check with his pediatric cardiologist, as subtle findings like that may represent the equivalent of shortness of breath with activity in an adult; a repeat Echocardiogram may be in order to check the chambers of the heart, estimated pressures and degree of shunt, to better decide the appropiate timing of open heart surgery.
