What Treatment Is Suggested Post Prolapsed Rectum Surgery?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... my 82 year old mother has a prolapsed rectum surgery is out of the question, I understand that there is a type of underwear that can be purchased that have a plastic support can you tell me the name of this product and where I can order them?



Hope you get one!!! didn't know I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ADVISE!!!!!

i understand your concerns, i m answering this question assuming your mothers condition is not very severe,treatment options besides surgery are :

-pelvic floor exercises, or kegels exercises. these are very very essential to strenghthen the pelvic floor muscles and help in preventing further progression.

-laxatives prescribed by a physician can be used to avoid further strain during defecation which may aggravate the prolapse.

-there is an underwear called ' V-BRACE' it s available in any online store.This does not cure the condition but jus helps in alleviating symptoms and help do daily activities more effectively.

-Please watch out for danger signs like not passing motion or not able to pass flatus, or blood when passing motion.

- other non specific symptoms like sudden dizziness, abdominal pain, fever should also be watched for.

- if any of the symptoms are present please do see a surgeon immediately.
