Hi,Tonya thanks for query. There could be reason like some food allergy or allergy to something else can lead to this. You should visit a specialist and get your self examined. You may some nodules on vocal cords ,which at times forms due to excessive voice strain etc.bye.
Welcome to healthcaremagic forum, Sore throat may be due to a acute /chronic pharyngitis or laryngitis . pharyngitis may be due to a simple cold / tonsillitis . But laryngitis may be pathology of vocal cord . During the laryngitis vocal cord usually swollen up and on exertion or overuse or a misuse of voice lead to damage of voice box and you will land with a hoarseness of voice. Because you are a singer you should see a ENT specialist as soon as possible to do a indirect laryngoscopy followed by a voice endoscopy or a stroboscopy if needed.
