Dear AKV,
Bleeding after stools could occur due to a variety of reasons, the commonest being piles (can be painful or painless) , (external/internal). Anal fissures is another condition which causes bleeding , but fissures are extremely painful, with
severe pain lasting for a few minutes to hours after passing stools.
Since you do not have pain, it is more likely to be piles.
Diet and life style changes are a mainstay in piles treatment.
1) Include leafy vegetables, fruits, oats and other fiber rich food in your diet, which would help in preventing hard stools
2) Avoid straining at stools as it tends to aggravate the condition
3) Spicy food and non vegetarian food is to be avoided
4) Sitting in a tub with hot water till the water turns warm, helps in relieving the swelling and congestion.
5) Sitting continuously for long periods of time needs to be minimized.
Homeopathy has permanent and excellent treatment for piles. A detailed case history is required for prescription. You may visit a homeopath for further treatment.
