What Would Cause A Throbbing Type Spasm In The Right Side Of The Chest?
Hi, I was wondering what would cause a throbing type spasm in the right side of the chest, near the clavical bone? It, went on for several hours in the evening while resting in a recliner watching TV. The person is an adult male, 53 years old. Thank you
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, in my opinion you are mostly having muscular spasm due to uncomfortable position on recliner chair. Muscular spasm is common in chest area after reclining position. Throbbing pain in upper chest area is also suggestive of muscular spasm. So avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid movements causing pain. Apply warm water pad on affected site. If not improving in 1 week, you may need painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs. Since these are prescribed medicines, you need to consult doctor for their prescription. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
