What Would Non-itchy Pink Spots On The Back Of Head Be?

My 6 month old daughter had two pink spots on the back of her head yesterday. They are not raised. One looked like it may be a little swollen, but not sure. This morning They were darker. With kind of a greenish/brownish tint in the middle. Now they are just all red. Don t seem to be bothering her or itchy. Any idea what it could be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to the HCM

It seems to be due to folliculitis. Most commonly it is caused by staphylococcus infection and need proper oral antibiotics such as penicillin or amoxicillin. An oral antibiotic course of 5 days with local fusidic acid application should help in complete resolution.

Take care
