What's The Cause And Cure For Sores On The Buttocks Which Leaves A Scaly Area/ Skin Discolouration On Healing?
I have sores on mostly my mid to lower right buttock, but have had one on the left buttock. It begins as a small flesh to light pink bump and then I scratch it and it gets larger and uglier. When one heals it leaves a scaly area and skin discoloration. Dark pink to purple spot. What could his be?

I would keep a possibility of bacterial infection/furuncle.
If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to take an oral antibiotic (Penicillin group e.g Amoxycillin ) for a week along with an OTC topical antibacterial ointment e.g 2% mupirocin twice daily for a week.
