Hi. I'm 23 yrs old. Today is 4th day of my abortion. i was 31+7 days pregnant. i consulted doctor she prescribed rovamycin & biopreg tablets for 3 months. & nt to think of conceiving til the course completes. should i follow her advice & think of not conceiving ...? or should i take the tablets for 1 month & conceive...?
In general, it is recommended that you wait until you resume one menstrual cycle before trying to conceive again because otherwise it can confuse the dating of the pregnancy. However, your doctor prescribed you prenatal vitamins possibly to treat any anemia from blood loss from the pregnancy, to regain your strength and make sure your menstrual cycle returns to normal.
So you really do not need to wait longer than one menstrual cycle to try to get pregnant again but waiting for a few months may be beneficial to your recovery.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
