When Can I Fly After Recovering From Pneumonia?

Hi I had a chest infection four weeks ago then last week I found out it was pneomonia I had , I was due to fly to Canada on holiday last week which obviosly was cancelled, I have to have an other chest xray done in two weeks time how soon can I fly after that.

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should wait for chest x ray report.
If chest x ray after 2 weeks is improving then you can fly, no harm in it.
But if chest x ray after 2 weeks shows pneumonia or worsening as compare to previous x ray then better not two fly.
So take your treatment timely and don't regular follow up with your doctor. Apart from antibiotics, drink plenty of fluids orally and keep your self hydrated. Quitting smoking if you are smoker.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Get done chest x ray after 2 weeks and decide.
