When Can I Get Rid Of Burning And Pain While Urinating When On Rapaflo?
I am on hyophen 4x a day. I have been on for a week and take rapaflo also. I still have burning and pain when urinating. Will it go away or do I have to live with it. I have been treated with radiation implants, external beam radiation and lupron for prostate cancer a year ago.
There can be 2 possible sound conditions for burning and pain when urinating particularly with history of radiation for cancer prostate. Either it can be urinary tract infection ( many times multi drug resistant ) or urethral narrowing following fibrosis from previous radiation giving secondary problems in the urinary tract.
I would prefer you to undertake a urine culture report with ultrasound of the abdomen, pelvis and urethra for best possible evaluation and further guidelines of management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you. Take care.
