When Can One Exercise After Laparotomy Surgery?

I have had laparotomy surgery 22 days ago, I am walking fine and increasing my daily activities more everyday. This is the second laparotomy I ve had in 20 yrs, in addition to an appendectomy in 2005. How long should I wait before I start light exercise and where may I find some suggestions?

Hi,
Active physical exercises like running, lifting heavy weight, pull-ups should be avoided for 3 months.
You can go for light exercises like walking, swimming now.
Avoid going to gym for 2-3 months.
Avoid more bending work or lifting heavy weight.
Ok and take care.
