When Can The Second Dosage Of Motrin For Flu And High Fever Be Given?
I have been rotating 7.5 ml of Tylenol and Motrin for my 43 lb 4 yr old. I just set an alarm for 12:30 to give her another dose of Tylenol but instead gave her another dose of Motrin only after giving her last dose of Motrin at 9:30. She tested positive for the flu and has had a high fever that will only stay down with alternating meds. I am worried about having just given her the Motrin after only 3 hours of her previous dose of Motrin.

In between 2 doses of Motrin, an interval of 4 to 6 hours is required. Though repeated earlier, single additional dose should not cause any major harm. If you notice any nausea, vomiting, bleeding from any site, respiratory difficulty, then visit to ER.
