When Is The Ideal Time To Do Pregnancy Test?

I had my periods on 20th of March, and had sex on 5th April (protected and unprotected alternately). Now it s been more than a month and I am not getting my periods, which is making me real paranoid. I am umarried and can t afford to be pregnant. There was a foul smell in the fluids secreted, after the intercourse. This lasted for a coupld eof days. Also, my breasts are tender. WHat is the ideal time to do a pregnancy test at home and how? If I am pregnant, can you advise whom I should approach and handle this situation?

OB and GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Vaginal discharge after sexual intercourse is quite a normal thing. If your periods are delayed more then a week then I suggest you go for a pregnancy test. You can write me back if your pregnancy test will be positive.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
