When Is The Right Time To Treat TSH During Pregnancy?

My wife is 5 weeks 4 days pregnant,recent tests showed her TSH level as 29 and doctor gave us 100mcg to take.

Did we start the treatment at the right time i.e at 5 weeks 4 days?

Does this affect the baby like IQ low etc?

How many weeks it takes to become normal?
