When Should I Take STD Test After Having Unprotected Oral Sex?

I never had a second sex partner for all of my life of 48 years. However, unfortunatelty, I recently had unprotected oral sex with another woman. And now I am wondering if I could have contracted an STD. How long should i wait to undergo an examination or test? I did not ejaculate in her mouth.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Oral sex carries av very low risk as far as STD/HIV.

All tests for STD are not necessary.
According to the symptoms certain STD s have to be investigated. For Example, If you have severe throat not responding to routine treatment then you have to be investigated for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. Similarly each and every disease has certain variations in reflecting in the investigations. gonorrhea can be diagnosed within a weeks time whereas chlamydia manifests only after 3 weeks. Blood investigations for Syphilis and HIV have to be done just to rule out the same. Test for Syphilis is recommended after 6 weeks and HIV 12 weeks after the high risk contact.
