When Should Prilosec Have An Effect On Stomach Burning And Growling Stomach?
Having stomach burning with lots of growling sounds. Feel hungry, after I eat it subsides for a few minutes then comes back. Also with lots of gas. My daughter had some carafate starting taking it yesterday also started taking Prilosec. When should this start to help? Is there any other home treatments?

Prilosec is omeprazole 20 mg and it start its effects within 2 hours and remains fro 10-12 hours .
It seems that patient is having hyper acidity and indigestion.
In such type of cases usually antacid syrup containing oxetacaine acts at once and provide relief within few minutes , so try it .
I have noted that tepid water sip by sip also provide relief within few minutes.
In some cases fat free milk ( tepid ) sip by sip like tea also cases relief.
