When Should I Insert Copper T After C Section Delivery?

im 24,5.3,50kg,had a c-section delivery 5 months before. my periods have started again.i want to know what is the right time for me to inject copper t. i mean should i wait for my next period and then continue?? and i also want to know is it a painful process?? how much time does this process take and what are its side effects??
