When Should I Test My Pregnancy After Unprotected Sex?

hello, i had sex for the first time two weeks ago, i am 27 years old and i was supposed to have my period that day, i still have not had my period yet, he did not ejaculate in me although we did not use any form of protection.. should i take a pregnancy test now? i plan to make an appointment this week

Hi and welcome to HCM

Precum, which is secreted just before ejaculation contains sperms and this is sufficient sometimes to cause pregnancy. You have already missed your period and its high time you take a home pregnancy test

Use early morning urine sample for test, if it is positive and if you want to continue pregnancy then consult a local doctor for further care. If you dont want to continue pregnancy, he/she may help you in safe termination of pregnancy.

If pregnancy gets ruled out and if you are not ready for pregnancy, but intend to remain sexually active, you should consider getting started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact if you are not ready for pregnancy
