When To Expect Periods After Stopping Microgynon Pills?
I have been on Microgynon for about 5 months in 2014 now. In August I started a new pack on the 21st. It finished the 10th of September. From the 11-17 of September I had a period. After that I didn t take my pills for about a week I stopped. I don t know when I will get my period again and I would like to know when I can start back my pill again since I stopped after my period came.
You were on Microgynon pills but you had left taking it after you had your periods. Presently, you want to restart it but are not getting your periods. You are advised to visit a health care provider or a gynae to confirm you are not pregnant.
Your treating doctor or healthcare provider will do a few more tests and investigation to rule out any blood clots, liver dysfunction, PCOS, cervix, or underlying health condition. Your treatment will depend on the heath condition detected. It will be given conservative treatment. If needed your treating Gynae will induce menstruation after which you can be give a birth control pill or device best suited for you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
