When Will I Start Bleeding After Taking 'norglen'?
hi i am 24 year old i got my last periods on nov 20th 2011. till now i didnt get my periods so i test for pregnancy it results positive.so i consulted the docter because i dont want the child now.she prescribed me norglen and domstal.my doubt is when i ll get my periods now.

Norglen contains progesterone. It is used to start period when you are not pregnant and your period is dalayed.
It DOES NOT bring about abortion.
If you wish to abort this pregnancy first consult family physician /Gynecologist. Before the treatment it is important to have examination by her to make sure that the pregnancy is in the uterus and you do not have contraindications for the medications.
In Medical abortion there are two types of medicines ( anti progesterone and prostaglandin) used for abortion. Medical abortion is about 95% effective. Most women ( 80%) abort within 24 hours of taking the second pill. Some take little longer. After aborting the pregnancy you may have light bleeding for two weeks. Get an ultrasound done after two weeks to make sure that the abortion process is complete.
If you have heavy bleeding (soaks 2pads/hour for more than two hours) or if the bleeding persists even after 2 weeks you must see the doctor.
To avoid such unnecessary stress I advise you to consult your doctor and start regular contraception like hormonal contraception or have an intrauterine devise fitted as they are very effective in preventing pregnancy.
