When Will My Eyesight Be Normal After Cornea Transplant?
I had a tube implant to control IOP an year after a trabaculectomy. Then cornea was affected and had a transplant. My eye sight is still not even close to normal after a cornea transplant more than a full year ago. Recently, I had a 2nd tube implant in that eye due to high IOP. Can I expect the cornea to be normal with time?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having glaucoma and corneal problem for which you have treated with trabeculectomy and corneal transplant. Following corneal transplant the cornea will become normal but the final vision outcome depends on the glaucoma and the nerve damage caused by it. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment of glaucoma and reduction of intraocular pressure.
Thank you
