Welcome to Healthcare Magic
Bed wetting at this age is a serious problem. He needs definite consultation with a Psychiatrist for finding out the cause and helping in treatment. There is possibility of hormonal disorder like Diabetes insipidus which can also cause similar picture. He needs to get evaluated for it as well. Bell-alarm system and proper medication can help prevent bed wetting at night. Let him continue taking the medication for ADHD as usual. You may ask the Doctor or pharmaceutical company for free samples of Diapers if they are ready to give you.

Hi, it must be horrible for your son, he probably feels very embarrassed. Just to be on the safe side, check with your doctor that he isn't diabetic. I have two sons both diabetic, diagnosed at seven and eight years, both boys increased their drinking and both suffered from wetting the bed. They were also very tired and moody. It is unusual for a boy of 14 to suddenly bed wet unless of course there is some problem that your son is worrying about, ADHD should not be a causative factor, once you have eliminated Diabetes as a factor, reduce the fluid intake that your son has three hours before bed time, ensure that he empties his bladder before going to bed. Best of luck.

hi
Underlying medical or emotional conditions should first be ruled out.
its a problem, consult child specialist
Reduce evening fluid intake. The child should urinate in the toilet before bedtime.Set a goal for the child of getting up at night to use the toilet.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Bed wetting (Nocturnal enuresis) is most of the time related to emotional turmoil the child is going through. Consult an urologist and let him do the necessary tests including ultrasound scan to rule out any organic cause for it.
If no obvious cause could be detected for this, then he needs psychological counseling, to identify what is the cause of his mental disturbance and correct that cause if possible.
Meanwhile never scold the child for bed wetting, because the child is more embarrassed and worried about it than you, but unfortunately he is unable to control it. Scolding will only increase the problem than relieving. Make it very clear to the child that you do not hold the child responsible for this and that you completely understand that it is not under his control. This attitude from family members may itself cure the child of this problem
Wishing your child all the best.
