when it started,that's day 1, count from that,not from end of menses.
It depends on your cycle 26-30 days?
The shortest cycle minus 18 days=1st day of fertile period. The longest cycle minus 10 days= last day of fertile period.
Example: if a women's menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle,
The shortest cycle [26days] minus18days=8th day.
The longest cycle [31days] minus 10days=21st day.
8th to 21st day is unsafe ,counting from day 1

safe period and danger period depends on duration of ur cycle.
if ur cycle is of 28 days than ovulation period is around 13 to 15th day before ur nxt cycle.need not worry as it was bit safe period.u should be aware of ur ovulation period if ur planning to concieve.
