I think my 8 yr old son may have whopping cough. He has many of the symptoms and has been sick for almost 2 weeks. He is going back to the doctor on March 20(tomorrow) and I am curious as to what questions I should ask our family physician. Also, what test(s) can be done to determine if he does in fact have whopping cough?? Thank you
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, there is no specific test for whooping cough but symptoms is the only confirmative sign and no further test needed it is very typical kind of symptoms of whoop with fix duration of time in between two whoops, with long inspiration spell hope this information helps.
