Which Ointment Is Helpful In Reducing Marks Caused Due To Lichen Planus,is Topisal Ointment Good For The Same?
Hi, my age is 25yrs. I was diagnosed with lichenplanus when i was 6 years old. It was spread on my legs including hips and thighs and also my waist and some part of stomach. It was NOT there on my face, hands and shoulders. The diasease has been treated and there are no eruptions left on my body, only the marks are left. As I am getting married by December this year, I would like to know about some good ointments which can help in marks reduction. Is topisal ointment good for the same? I have heard that it is very powerful, if we use it on normal skin area, it makes that thinner and sensitive. I do not want to go for any treatment like laser or chemical peeling. Please suggest some good ointments. I have dry skin. Regards, Khyati
I can understand your concern for reducing marks caused due to lichen planus.
If I were your dermatologist then I would have suggested you to use azelaic acid cream or Kojic acid cream or glycolic acid cream or licorice extract or arbutine creams at night time in guidance of dermatologist.
The most important part is to use a sunscreen regularly in open environment and on exposure to sun.
Take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist so that all the problem can be dealt best for future time.
Take care
