White, Dry, Flaky Patch On Cheek. Prescribed Medication, No Results. Should I Meet Another Doctor?

hi, I have a white, dry and flaky patch on my cheek which appeared nearly 2 months back. About 3 weeks back i saw a dermatologist who prescribed application of Mometasone Furoate Cream along with Foban (Fucidic Acid 2%). He also prescribed 3 months of Eposoft 1000 mg. The patch is pretty much the same size and color. I wonder whether whether i should see him again?/see someone else?
Thanks very much!

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
The condition can be xerotic eczema ,pityriasis alba, Polymorphic light eruption etc.
You need to apply liberal moisturizer daily over the face. You should also maintain photoprotection by using sunscreen regularly.
A skin biopsy may be required for diagnosis. Please visit a qualified dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this helps.
