White Patches On Face, Near Mouth, Cheek. Using Momate Cream. Due To Sunburn?
I have got some white patches on my face near mouth and cheek. It first started to peel and then the next day the white patches appeared. I was exposed to sun two months before and again three weeks ago. The derm said its sun burns. I use the Momate cream as she prescribed. How long it takes to fade the patches? Does it take long? Please help!
Hi Vidusha,
It might take some time for your white patches to fade. However with the treatment prescribed by your doctor, the patches will surely disappear. Use a good sunscreen to prevent further sun damage and you can also take vitamin C and anti oxidant supplements for better healing. Take care.

1. sun burn or photo dermatitis is an abnormal skin reaction to sunlight along with sensitivity of the skin.
2. avoid any cosmetic usages.
3.avoid alcohol, coffee, tea which leads to dehydrtaion.
4. use a good sunscreen not only to prevent sun burns but also against skin cancer.
5. was it a first degree burn (red skin) or second degree burn (blisters)?
6. eat healthy so that body is provided with essential nutrients helping in rebuilding the skin.
7. apply aloe vera which has excellent cooling properties and will also aid in healing.
8. lastly it all depends upon your skin colour, the darker the skin the early it fades away.
