Why Am I Experiencing Bloating, Acid Reflux And Chronic Cough After Undergoing Surgery For Skin Cancer?
I am a 54 year old woman. Who is in fairly decent shape. I am a runner and workout. I have been having these symptoms for over a year and have just dealt with them until most recently. I often feel a lump or feel like things get stuck in my throat, which I am positive it does, for example I was currently on an antibiotic for minor surgery for skin cancer on my face and I would get them pill stuck in my throat as I could taste it dissolve. I have a chronic cough at times that seems to be like a asthma type. Like when I take a breath to talk, it makes me cough. I can run and never feel the urge to cough. Often after talking a while with others my throat feels irritated and some times it almost tastes like blood, as weird as that. I have a lot of bloating at times and burping, but not the normal burning acid reflux.
Firstly, your problems do not appear to be related to either your skin cancer or its surgery. It appears to be an entirely unrelated problem. Mostly it appears that you have a vocal nodule which is a non-cancerous growth on the vocal cords (cords inside the throat that produce voice). However, one needs to be certain and for this you need to undergo en endoscopy by an ENT surgeon. This is an out patient procedure and easily done. As for the abdominal symptoms get an ultrasound of the abdomen done. Meanwhile start on Tab Pantoprazole 20mg twice daily empty stomach.
