Why Am I Experiencing Double Vision At Night While Suffering From Cardiomyopathy?

I have cardiomiopathy and heart failure. I ve been experiencing double vision mostly at night. today I noticed that I m seeing double. I close each eye and notice that when I look through my right eye, I can see clearly. I also have an occasional a-fib event. Since my last cardio ablation I was in a-fib 60% of the time. Can you clear things up for me? Thanks, Jan

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

You need to have a full ophthalmological check up as heart disease affect the retina and a double vision points towards a nerve palsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita,
Ophthalmologist
