I had a filling done 2 days ago. They injected me with a lot of novocaine for some reason, most I ve ever had for sure. Roughly 7 shots of it all around same general area. When I got home I had strange side effects - heart palpitations, shortness of breath, was feeling very faint. As the numbness wore off, so did the side effects. Now, 2 days later, my tonsil on right side of neck (side they injected me on) is extremely swollen. Seems like its getting worse by the hour. This started last night. Extreme severe pain in throat around tonsil when swallowing, pain in gums around injection areas, pain it jaw and cheek on that side as well. It s getting worse and worse very quickly. I have an appointment with ENT for something unrelated in 5 days. Trying home remedies nothing works. Should I wait for the appointment? Or maybe go to hospital even?
