Why Am I Experiencing Prolonged Pms?

I'm a 34 yr old female, avg height and weight, very active with irregular periods. I am experiencing prolonged pms (2 weeks of severe bloating, tender breasts and nipples, irritablilty) and am now experiencing brown discharge. Is this common or should I worry about a medical condition?
