Hi,

Sticky skin syndrome is a rare condition, where the skin of patient sticks to the body parts of self or of other persons. It is present in some isolated parts of body or whole body. Sometimes, the skin becomes so glue-like objects like papers, threads, cotton or wool etc., which may stick prominently to the skin. Though, idiopathic sticky skin syndrome has been described in a few cases, but more or less it seems due to influence of some chemicals in the environment, some drugs as well as certain foods.

Drugs like Retinoids, anti-fungal and some anti-neoplastic drugs may induce, though very rarely this condition. Some foods may also cause this type of syndrome- particularly corn products may induce this condition.

No known specific treatment is there. Watch for any new drug, particularly from above given groups of drugs, if you have used recently, then you will have to stop it. Similarly, if any known food variety, causes symptoms of sticky skin, particularly corn products, then avoiding these products is recommended. In a nutshell, treatment at this stage is by method of elimination, by hit & trial method.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
