It all started when I went up a step 2 days ago with my right foot firs and bearing all the weight. What could have caused this?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi there .

After reading about your symptoms I would suggest you to get an immediate Xray of the hip done along with the pelvis as sometimes a sudden jerk of the leg can also result in a hairline fracture in this age as the bones are osteoporotic .

Secondly it could be due to neurological weakness .
For this kindly get a Nerve conduction velocity ( NCV) done to assess any kind of weakness of the nerves of the lower limb .

Start on a nerve enhancing medicine like pregablin - methycobalamine combination .

Get the results of the investigation evaluated by sn orthopedician and proceed likewise .

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
