Why Am I Getting A Fluttery Feeling In My Stomach?

For the last week or so, I have been getting a fluttery feeling in my stomach. My last 2 periods have been very light and only lasted 2 days. This morning I had some light brown discharge on wiping after going to the toilet. I am on birth control and have been for 3 months but could I still be pregnant?

Hello,
Additional protection is needed to prevent conception during the first couple of months of using oral contraception. If this was not done, there is always a risk of failure. In addition, there can be alteration in the menstrual pattern after intake of oral pills as the natural hormone milieu gets disrupted. This can be in the form of irregular menstruation, scanty periods or heavy bleeding, inter-menstrual spotting or bleeding and breakthrough bleeds. Please check for pregnancy through a blood test and get further help form an expert. Take care.
