Hi - I am 40yr old lady, 163 cm, 55 kg . I am trained in classical music. of late when I sing, I am unable to sing long phrases since saliva accumulates very quickly and any many a time I have to swallow in between the stanza making it sound awkward. Morever, I feel i am out of breadth and keep sniffing. what can I do?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, we should rule out bronchitis and asthma in your case because both of them can cause sniffing and breathlessness. So consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Clinical examination of respiratory system 2. PFT (pulmonary function test). PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis and asthma. It willingness also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
