Why Am I Getting Pregnancy Symptoms And Test Results To Be Negative?
Hi, I want to know if this are symptoms of pregnancy, I have a lot of back pain which I don't understand why because I have not been doing anything that could cause it, sometimes I feel dizzy and a feeling of fainting. The last time I had my period it only lasted for 3 days and before that like 2 to 3 weeks before I had cramps like if I was about to have my period but I just had my period for that month which is something different for me. My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 4 months and I have been feeling this for about 2 months. I took a pregnancy test and it came negative. please help.
Hi, Your symptoms are not specific for pregnancy. As you are experiencing recent changes in your menstrual pattern and have had a negative pregnancy test, the next step would be to confirm/exclude pregnancy through an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres. this should be followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram. If pregnancy is thus confirmed, management will be done accordingly. If negative, hormone assays are needed to plan further treatment. Hope this helps.
