Why Am I Having Irritation In My Eyes Despite Using Lubricant Eye Drops For Hot Oil Splash In My Eyes?
I splashed a little hot oil in my left eye while frying. I rinsed it with cold water several times and than put lubricant eye drops in it. Is there anything else I need to do. Feels a little irritated but I am able to see clearly out of it with my reading glasses. Thank you
Hello It seems from the history that hot oil splashed into the eye and you have used lubricating eye drops. The hot oil can cause thermal burn to the cornea. The treatment is by using lubricating eye drops which you are using . This will help in quick healing of the lesion. Along with lubricating eye drops antibiotic eye drops are required to prevent secondary infection. If the pain won't subside do consult eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
