Hi
Im dr.hema physiotherapist.
Early morning heal pain is commonly due to inflammation of your plantar fascia.
This is normally pain at the bottom of the foot.
It is often worse with putting weight on the foot, and certainly can be worse first thing in the morning. The causes may be age, weight,
stress, arches, foot wear.
Early diagnosis and intervention is important consult an orthopaedicean for anti inflammatory drugs and also to rule out other causes of
tendinitis or
bone spur.
A course of
physical therapy modality (
ultrasound) and can be very successful.
In mean time at home you can start with,
1. Wearing proper footwear with heel cushion.
2. Ice should be applied prior to and following activity for approximately 20 minutes. Try using a frozen bottle of water and gently rolling it under the arch and heel.whever you feel pain, early morning before you step up.
3. Stretches- calf muscles can be stretched by standing facing a wall. Step your sore foot back and while keeping that heel down, lean forward until a comfortable pull is felt in the back of the lower leg. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds.
You should experience significant relief.
Hope it helps, do reply in doubt.
