Why Am I Not Able To Breath At 33 Weeks Pregnancy?

Hello.
I'm 33 weeks pregnant and it is has been extremely hard for me to breathe the last couple of days and when I have one of these spells, my stomach starts to feel weird. Is it it because my baby isn't getting enough air?? What could it be?? I'm also anemic, I don't know if that could have something to do with it.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
With the progression of gestation, uterus size will increase and it will lead to pressure on thorasic organs.
That can lead to difficulty in breathing.
Anemia can also lead to breathlessness.
So:
-Prefer left lateral position while sleeping. That will relieve pressure on major blood vessels.
-Check for hemoglobin levels. In case of severe anemia, go for injectable iron supplements or blood transfusion.
-Go for ultrasound once to check the well being of the baby and the amniotic fluid levels.
In case of excess amniotic fluid breathlessness can be seen.
By these measures the cause for your problem can be identified and management can be planned accordingly.
Take care.
