Hi,
If you have mentioned your age and obstetrical history more accurate answer might have been possible.
Polycystic ovarian disease presents with
irregular periods,
anovulation due to the reproductive hormonal imbalance and
insulin resistance. Among the tablets prescribed to you:
- Cystop M contains Metformin and Myo-inositol. This tablets will help in decreasing the insulin resistance and in regularizing the menstrual cycles.
- BF.long contains vitamin b6, that is pyridoxine, it also helps in different metabolic systems of the body.
- Gestofit 200 MG tablets contents natural micronised
progesterone, which can help in regularising the menstrual cycles, in continuation of pregnancy, etc.
In your case, your gynecologist might have prescribed this tablets for 5 days, to induce the withdrawal bleeding. After stopping this tablets in 7 to 10 days you can get the withdrawal bleeding, if there is no pregnancy. In case of pregnancy these tablets will not induce the bleeding and they will help in maintenance of pregnancy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
