Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of anal fissures or hemorrhoids. Get a digital rectal examination done by a GP. Get the required tests done to confirm diagnosis, like stool examinations (R/E and C/S). You will be asked to get an anoscopy (for internal hemorrhoids and fissures) and a sigmoidoscopy for polyps, tumors, and cancers done.

Fecal occult test for colon cancer screening. Colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening. Get all investigations and tests done to confirm the diagnosis and rule out other causes of rectal bleeding.

In the meantime, take sitz bath for relief. Keep yourself well hydrated. Stay active for better bowel movement. Avoid intake of spicy, oily, fatty, or oily foods as they will trigger your symptoms. Take home-made nutritious but balanced food. To get relief from pain, you can take Acetaminophen, one sat after food.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
