Why Am I Having Light Bleeding During Menstrual Periods?

hi... i got married last year october..and my periods were normal until february this year..and iam trying to concieve since january...In March i had less flow of dark brownish very light bleeding not lasting for more than 2 days. i thought it as implantation bleeding but unfortunately all tests were negative. I had the same in april month as well..And then when i consulted the doctor ,they did scanning of ovaries and thyroid test. Everything was normal. In the month of may i had normal periods with moderate flow without any pain. Again in June and july i am facing the same problem lik how i had in the months of march and april..Please let me know the solution for this.

Hi,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. From your description, I think that you are experiencing hormone imbalance. The cause should be investigated further since you seem to have had a normal cycle in between which suggests transient hormone imbalance. Sudden weight changes, stress, infections etc., can cause such disturbances. Since you had a normal study of the ovaries and a normal thyroid profile, I suggest an estimation of FSH, LH and serum Prolactin. Ovulation studies can be done through follicular studies or recording of basal body temperature from day one of the menstrual cycle. Further management can be planned according to the results obtained. Please maintain a healthy diet, healthy weight and regular exercise. Hope this helps.
