Hello,

Oral contraceptive pills help in treatment of PCOD by regularising the cycles by altering the hormonal levels in body. During the course of OCPs you will definitely not conceive, however after stopping OCPs it takes time for your body to function in systematic way, hence you may not ovulate (release of egg) and hence you may not conceive but later you will conceive. No need to worry. Just avoid oily, junk food, do daily exercise, and drink plenty of water around 3.5 litres per day. Do daily exercise.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Viraj Ramesh Naik, OBGYN
