Why Am I Not Getting My Periods Even After Taking Norethisterone?

Hi, i have Take Norethisterone 5mg to bring on my period i took 1x tablet 3 times a day and finished my last tablet on 21/01/2012 Can you please tell me why it hasnt worked, ive done a pregnancy test and its negative. This has made my period come before but not this time can you explain this please?
