Why Am I Not Getting Periods Even After Taking Regestrone Tablets?
Hi,
I was prescribed regestone by the gyneacologist as i did not get my periods from last two months. There is no chance of pregnancy and my ultrasond scan is done. I was asked to regestrone for 5 days (3 dose per day). I finished my last tablet day before yesterday but still i did not get my periods. please reply.

I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Withdrawal bleeding can be expected 3-7 days after completion of hormone treatment. At times, it may even take ten days. So, you can wait for a few more days to see a period. I will be able to comment further if you can attach your sonogram report. Anyway, since pregnancy has been ruled out, if withdrawal bleeding is not seen as expected, inadequate endometrial preparation may be suspected and so is the presence of other hormone defects that need correction. In such a situation, further investigation at the hands of a specialist is necessary. Hope this helps.
