Greetings, I had a son age 31 that was hiding his true conditions from me. He was being given medication called Benztropine Mes 1 MG , and also Divalproex SOD DR 500 MG twice a day, and he refused to give me any information and would block me and not tell me the truth about his condition. I lost him July 6, 2015, he just walked in front of a train and ended his life. I have been just devastated, just devastated, I was trying to get power of mental health care and conservationship to aid and care for him, but I lost him 2 days before court. Hello,

The prescribed medications can be used in certain neurological/psychiatric disorders as given below:

1. Benztropine, an anticholindergic drug used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease or involuntary movements due to some other medical problems or the side effects of certain Antipsychotics drugs such as Chlorpromazine/Haloperidol.

2. Divalproex sodium, used to treat certain types of seizures (epilepsy), certain psychiatric conditions (manic phase of bipolar disorder), and to prevent migraine headaches.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
