Why Can I Not Move My Injured Shoulder Without Pain?
About 2 weeks ago a girl ran into my shoul der (I m the soccer goalie). When I tried to lift it to stretch it out it hurt bad and it kind of fell back down on its own. When I got home it was really hurting and I had a bruise on my collar bone .I didn t really think anything of so I just iced it. The next day a girl ran into it again which was probably the cause of her breaking her femur . I didn t really feel though because I had take some pain relievers before the game because it was already hurting. I thought it was nothing but a sore shoulder and that I could tough it out so I kept painfully with it for the next three games. Three days ago really in the game it was extremely painful and by the . End of penatly kicks I was unable to move my arm. The next morning I still could not move it, at least without a lot of pain so my mom took me to the er. They said it was a sprain or most likely a torn rotatory cuff but they did not do a mri. My mom is trying to find someplace where we can go get one in the morning without going back to the er. What could it possibly be?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. R K Singh's Response
Being a good sports person you should contact a Orthopaedic surgeon of the nearby hospital & get your self fully investigated ie X-Ray & MRI of the effected shoulder. There are chances of Rotater Cuff Injury or Avulsion fracture of Greater tuberosity of Humerus ( Arm BONE). There may be a possibility if fracture of the collar bone also.
