Why Could I Have Been Diagnosed With LBBB 4 Years Back At The Age Of 16?
Hi, I am a 20 year old man. When I was 16, I was just doing a regular ecg checkup and that’s when I was told I had a left bundle branch block. Everyone was shocked. I know it’s extremely rare, especially in young children . The doctors even had a board meeting and discussed the possible causes but none were found. They even did a procedure that involved using a camera to see how the nerves were conducting. It seemed as though everything was fine and I had no heart conditions from all the tests that were performed. 4 years have passed and I still don’t have a clue as to what the cause of this could be. If anyone can help me please do :)
Usually, LBBB of acute onset with chest pain and breathing difficult are to be treated. Some people will have by birth. We will get to know when evaluating for other reasons such as when people need intervention or when people are symptomatic. Otherwise, just following up on a yearly basis is enough. There is no need to worry about this, just do a yearly follow up.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
