Hello,
A lot os nerves, blood vessels and muscles pass through the pelvic region and groin area. Slight strains or unusual sensations may trigger sharp pinching pain in this area. Your symptoms may be indicative of
urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted infection, infection by E. coli,
testicular torsion,
testicular pain, pinched nerve, herniated discs, colitis, inguinal hernia, muscle strain, etc.
Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. You are advised to get clinically examined by a
urologist. Get Urinalysis (R/E and C/S), CT, MRI to detect hernia, etc. Presently, take care of your hygiene and stay away from any type of sexual activity.
Get STD tests done. If report is positive, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. No worries don't take stress. You can take naproxen or
acetaminophen one stat and SOS when pain. Take medicine after food. Get clinically examined, do not neglect yourself.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
