Why Did I Have Headaches, Nausea And Dizziness After An Injury?
So, yesterday I was playing soccer and then I was taking the ball from behind the net and then one of my friends hit the ball hard and it hit the upper part of my head. I had nausea for around 5-10 minutes and then also, dizziness for that 5-10 minutes. Then, I was actually alright. I played a match. Came back home and then I started getting the headache. I still have a mild headache. I also took a shower. Is that alright?
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
I would explain that it is normal to have headache after a head concussion.
I would recommend taking some painkillers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen for some days. It is necessary to have some rest for at least one week and avoid straining physical activity, including playing soccer. You should know that a second head trauma would be really harmful to you in this situation and you should try to avoid this.
If your situation doesn't improve, or even worsens in the next days, I would recommend going to the ER for a brain CT scan to exclude possible delayed intracranial hemorrhage.
